San Antonio Spurs vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction: Is There Value on the Home Dog?

I am back with my favorite NBA pick of the night. I am still pretty upset that we lost that Timberwvoles last night as I believe we had the right side in that game, but this means that we are due to get a nice win on Friday night. The play I am turning to tonight will be a battle between the Clevland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction

The Cleveland Cavaliers come into this game positioned as a playoff team currently and will look to keep up their good play tonight. The Cavs have been the NBA’s biggest surprise this season as they came into this year with very expectations, and they have shocked everyone. The Spurs, on the other side of things, also came into this year with fairly low expectations as well not expected to be a playoff team. The pleasant surprise for the Spurs has been guard Dejounte Murray who has been outstanding in every part of his game this year. The Spurs are a young team who are led by a legendary coach in Greg Popovich. This team has a ton of upside, being that they have the young talent. Their issue this season has been closing close games what is somewhat typical in young teams. The Spurs will look to pull off an upset at home tonight against this Cleveland Cavaliers group.

In this game tonight, the play I am turning to will be to back the dog once again in the San Antonio Spurs. I love the home dog in this game but let me start with the simple fact that this team plays hard night in and night out. I love the way they compete on both ends of the floor, and when betting regular season NBA, it is so key to find a team who is going to give effort the entire game. The second reason is I believe these teams match up somewhat even talent-wise. I do not think this Cavs team will be a playoff team when the time comes despite their great start to the regular season. The Cavs have had to deal with a few injuries during the season but most recently, guard Ricky Rubio who has had a great season for this Cavs team. The loss of Collin Sexton earlier in the season was a killer, but this was the icing on the cake. I give a large advantage to the Spurs tonight at the guard position and think they will score enough points to keep this thing close and win this outright. I am riding the dog tonight. Let’s kick off the weekend with a bang!
