NBA Parlay Breakdown
A stacked day of NBA games, early tip-offs, mismatched rosters, and a ton of value to be found, sounds like a good Monday to me! Let's dive in
Our first leg of this three-team parlay sees the Memphis Grizzlies facing off against the Chicago Bulls, who are struggling with injuries and protocols induced absences. As such, it's only right that we side with the Grizzlies to come out on top, after all, they're fast becoming one of the better teams in the Western Conference and have been in great form in recent weeks. In fact, the Grizzlies had been on an 11-game win streak before the Dallas Mavericks took them apart over the weekend. However, the Bulls are short on talent right now, with Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, Zach Lavine, Patrick Williams, Derrick Jones Jr., and Javonte Green all out for tonight's game, meaning we're going to see some 10-day contract players get meaningful minutes again tonight. Despite the Grizzlies' recent loss, they're still too talented to envision losing tonight's contest against a depleted Bulls team, which is why the money line makes so much sense.

Next up on our parlay, is the New York Knicks against the Charlotte Hornets. I'm going against the grain a little bit here and backing the Knicks to win, which could blow up in our faces but could also be what lands us a decent return on investment. The Knicks are still missing their primary guard rotation in Derrick Rose and Kemba Walker, while they will also be without Cam Reddish and Nerlens Noel - so you can see why this is a risk! The Hornets, on the other hand, are only missing Kelly Oubre Jr. and will have the rest of their roster ready and waiting to punish the Knicks' lack of depth. The only thing we can hope for is that New York figures it out on the offensive end, and punishes the Hornet's lackluster defense, repeatedly. Strangely, despite missing so many key players, the Knicks have won 5 of their last 6 games, which should give us a glimmer of hope heading into tonight's game, against a Hornets team that boasts a superior offense.
Finally, we're banking on the Cleveland Cavaliers delivering on their promising start to the season, and defeating a hobbled Brooklyn Nets team. Why? Because the Nets are missing Kevin Durant, Paul Milsap, LaMarcus Aldrige, Joe Harris, Nic Claxton, and James Johnson, however, it seems like Kyrie Irving and James Harden will both be fit to play. Still, the Cavaliers have all of their big-man rotation available, meaning Brooklyn will need to break down a unit consisting of Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and Lauri Markkanen - a feat that isn't easy to accomplish, and a large reason why the Cavaliers currently sit 3rd in defensive rating. The Cavaliers are also in better form than their opponents, with the Nets splitting their last 8 games 4-and-4, and the Cavaliers winning 5 of their last 7. With Brooklyn's current health issues, their lack of continuity on the floor, and current middling form, I feel confident in backing the Cavaliers to win tonight's contest, but there's every chance things don't go our way on this leg of the parlay.
Boston Celtics vs. New Orleans Pelicans Same- Game Parlay
- Boston Celtics Money Line
- Dennis Schroder Over 4.5 Assists
- Jayson Tatum Over 25.5 Points

I would love to say the Boston Celtics have been on a roll recently, and the New Orleans Pelicans don't stand a chance, but I would be lying. Frankly, the Celtics are as inconsistent as they come and have burned us countless times this season, yet I keep coming back for more! However, this is the Pelicans we're talking about, the same team that holds a bottom-five offense and bottom-six defense, facing off against a Celtics team with two All-Star wings, and a rising star in Robert Williams. Neither team is struggling for health tonight, but the Pelicans are still without Zion Williamson, which at this point, feels like that will be the case all season. In terms of our player props, I can't see the Pelicans managing to slow down Schroder tonight, and he's at his playmaking best when penetrating, drawing the defense, and kicking the rock out, which makes a minimum of 5 assists a fair ask of a guard that boasts his level of usage rate. In terms of scoring, Jayson Tatum has been struggling for consistency with his three-point shot, but has been fantastic at finding lanes to the rim, and should have no issue punishing Jonas Valanciunas' lack of foot speed throughout tonight's contest. Hopefully, the Celtics can do us a solid, and actually win a game they're supposed to win, so we can add another "W" to our parlays for the day!

The Philadelphia 76ers are back in action tonight, against the Washington Wizards. Washington has won 4 of their last 7 games but continues to be uninspiring on both sides of the floor, with their hot start to the season now a distant memory. Another blow for the Wizards is the potential loss of Bradley Beal, who is questionable for tonight's game to start the day, although I would expect him to participate. Meanwhile, the 76ers are grinding out win after win, and looking mighty impressive as they dispatched the Boston Celtics over the weekend off the back of some stellar defense and offensive coordination. Matisse Thybulle will be a big loss for the Sixers, as will Shake Milton, but I can't see how Washington intends to slow down Joel Embiid on either end of the floor, which you hope goes some way to balancing out the reduced perimeter defense Philadelphia has at their disposal. And with Embiid potentially being unguardable tonight, I also feel confident in the Sixers using him as their offensive focal point, meaning he should notch a couple of assists and get close to the 30-point mark we need to trigger our player props. Overall, I like this matchup for the Sixers and specifically for Embiid, so feel confident heading into this game, and hopefully we can close in on that elusive 100% day we've been yearning for since the turn of the year.
