NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: Going Back To Mitchell Robinson

Not to be the bearer of bad news but we only have two NBA games. On top of that, one game involves the Detroit Pistons so there's really only one NBA game tonight. The thing we have on our side is the fact that both games are televised so there is that. NBA TV has the hookup starting at 7:30 pm ET with the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks. If we're being honest, I watched the Knicks yesterday so it will be tough to watch them again. But since there's nothing else on, we have to. Lucky for us, the books made the same mistake they made yesterday on my favorite New York Knick.

Mitchell Robinson Over 8.5 Points @ -106 (Bet $100 to win $94.34)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

We should play this one at FanDuel since they are offering the best price. DraftKings (8.5 for -115) isn't far off and neither is BetMGM (8.5 for -120) but every penny counts here. The only book that I'm not seeing a line for Robinson is at Barstool so hopefully they'll join the party soon. Who really knows though?

I'll admit it. I'm a Mitchell Robinson fan. I love his game. No jumpers, no three-pointers, just dunks and free throws. That's it. You have to love the simplicity. Guy is a "point A to point B as quick as possible" type. Love that.

Another thing you have to love is the fact that our guy Mitchell has scored at least 10 points in each of his last five games. Eighty-five percent of those points have come from inside the paint with the other 15 percent coming from the charity stripe. That makes me interested in this matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On the road this season, the Timberwolves give up 48 points per game in the paint. That's a lot. On top of that, opponents average 25 free throw attempts per game. That number swells to 26.5 on the road. No team allows more. These guys foul like it's their job people.

Nerlens Noel could play tonight but I don't think it matters. Mitchell is going to play 25+ minutes regardless. That's plenty of time to dunk the ball four times and hit a free throw. And if you're worried about it being a back-to-back, relax. This kid is 23 years old. He can play basketball for 25 minutes two days in a row. We're talking Mitchell Robinson here.

* If you guys want to James Bond this thing at FanDuel, 10+ points is at +132. It's not really a James Bond move but technically it is. Plus money is plus money too, so there is that.
