Wednesday's NBA player prop pick focuses on the Boston Celtics. More importantly, we have our eyes on Dennis Schroder. Handicapper John Hyslop breaks down his second NBA player prop of the night.
ANALYSIS

NBA Player Prop Pick for Wednesday: Dennis The Menace

I won't lie, I wanted something for one of the later games but we can't get lines on the guys I want. If they come out later, I will do an emergency post on Twitter. Still, having two guys playing at the same time can be fun too. While Gabe Vincent is stroking the Trail Blazers, we have another guy that should be doing the same thing to the Charlotte Hornets. The only thing better than action is more action. Feels right.

Dennis Schroder Over 14.5 Points @ -110 (Bet $100 to win $90.91)

Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing

Everyone is in the same ballpark with price on this guy except Barstool. They don't even have a number for Dennis. Maybe they come with one later or maybe they don't. If they do, make sure it's under -125 for 14.5 and you'll be fine.

With Marcus Smart out again tonight, Schroder is in line for more work. Not that he doesn't get his fair share of run off the bench, I'd just rather bet a guy starting. That's how I roll. It's like the old saying, you can't score if you're not on the floor (rhymes).

The thing about Schroder is he can fool you. He's a 20+ candidate on a lot of nights. It's not always a sexy bet but it happens. He's gone 20+ twice in the last week and popped off for 16 in another game. We only need 15 here people and it's a decent matchup.

There is only one team in the NBA that plays faster than the Charlotte Hornets so we can expect a few more possessions tonight. Sometimes the Celtics can play a little slow so knowing they are playing a team that likes to run feels good. The last time these teams met Boston hung 140 points. The game went to overtime but still, points are points.

In that meeting, Schroder put up 23 points while in the starting lineup. Knowing that, I think that if we want to James Bond this move we can. FanDuel is offering 20+ at +285 which seems like fun to me. I've done dumber things with money.
