NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday: Herbert Jones Time

People, I know what we're doing today. Gambling. It just feels like the right thing to do. We don't have a ton of options in the NBA but what can we do about that? Nothing. We don't make the schedule. Someone else did. But, we don't need a lot to be happy. We're gamblers. Just give us some action and we won't bother anyone. We're built different. We can take a four-game slate like this one and make it the greatest slate ever created. All we need is one game like the Indiana Pacers versus the New Orleans Pelicans and we're set. Now that I think about it, this could be the greatest NBA betting night in the history of NBA betting nights. Those nights always happen when you have a bet that has a zero percent chance of losing like this one.

Herbert Jones Over 12.5 Points (-110) (Bet $110 to Win $100)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

I know it says FanDuel but I only really played there because of all the James Bond potential with this one. DraftKings and BetMGM both have -115 and Barstool has -113. It's all in play here people. I love when that happens.

I think we can trust this kid with our Monday night. Going through his game logs, it looks like this could be a tight one but maybe not. Let me tell you a little bit about this Herbert Jones guy, when the cat is away, this guy will play. Brandon Ingram is out tonight and that can only mean one thing.

Ingram is a ball hog's favorite ball hog. Like he's never seen a shot that he didn't think he could make. While I love that in a player, it's not so great for the other guys on the floor. Polite guys like Herbert Jones who are what this world needs more of, team players.

The thing is, the last time Ingram missed time, Herbert Jones showed that he had a little ball hog in him. Like a little one that's just big enough to be fun and not a problem. The guy took 31 shots in two games. Scored at least 14 points in both. It wouldn't be a big deal it's just that he's only taken double-digit shot attempts once since then. He still scored at least 13 points in six of those nine games.

All that is cool but the party starts when you think about who the Pelicans are playing tonight. The Indiana Pacers are all kinds of banged up especially in the front court. They've given up 58 points per game in the paint in their last three games. That's the worst in the NBA! Herbert Jones should take 10+ shots tonight and I bet he gets a couple easy ones too.

* If you want to James Bond this thing, you could always go 15+ at +150. It's Monday. It's fine.
