We need action on the early slate tonight and I think we have it with the Milwaukee Bucks vs Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 pm ET. Anytime you can get a birthday narrative mixed with a record narrative in one of the first games on the docket at plus money, you do it. That's just how gambling works. Tonight we have that so obviously it's a special night. Honestly, I don't know if I've ever been more excited to bet some guy's assist number at 9.5 in my life. This could quite honestly be the greatest gambling night in the history of gambling nights.

I went to FanDuel for this one because the other books are scared to list Garland. BetMGM has everything but his assists number and DraftKings doesn't even have NBA player props listed. In their defense, I don't think they're scared, I think the site is just broken. But for purposes of this article, they're scared. Barstool is MIA on everything Cavs.

Here's the thing about Darius Garland, it's his birthday today. Now that could mean he got hammered last night since he's only 22. I know I would have. That's how birthdays work. Still, he's chasing a record so maybe not. Maybe, just maybe he's going out after tonight's game. That would be sweet.

Now the record he's chasing really isn't a record but I don't think anyone knows that. Since that's the case, he can make history tonight. I think if he records at least 10 assists tonight he will become the first Cavs player in the last 10 years to have 10 assists in six straight games. LeBron had five so that's why this is a big deal. Still, I think the kid plays for it. He's only 22.

Garland has the right opponent for this one in the Milwaukee Bucks. On the season, 62% of their opponents' field goals have been assisted which is a good number. Tyrese Haliburton just stuck them for 12 dimes and Ja Morant slapped them with 14 of them a few days before that. Point is, this isn't that crazy.

If you're worried about Jarrett Allen possibly not playing, just know that he didn't last game and Garland still handed out 12 dimes. During the five-game assist run, Garland is averaging 20.6 potential assists per contest so he's getting chances regardless of who is on the floor. Let's just hope they can finish 10 for him tonight.
