ANALYSIS

NBA Player Prop Picks for Friday: Dejounte Murray With the Dimes

Friday nights were built for action. It's been like that since we were all kids so I'm not telling you something you don't already know. With that in mind, we're definitely not heading into this Friday night with only one bet slip in our pockets. That would be dumb of us. Irresponsible too. Lucky for us, I've been over the board close to 17 times already today. Combing through matchup after matchup just looking for some guy to get our heater going for the weekend. It's a job not many are up for and frankly, most can't even dream of handling the responsibility. But through all the digging and diving (heroic stuff really) I was able to find one guy to get us home. This is by far one of the best bets I've ever seen in my life. Just amazing stuff really.

Dejounte Murray Over 9.5 Assists (+104) (Bet $100 to Win $104)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

This one is at FanDuel since the other books have 8.5 at -150 or something similar. I don't see the point in squeezing all that juice all over the place for one assist. If he lands on nine, so be it. But I'm not laying -150 on 8.5 assists. It's the plus money I'm interested in.

The only issue I see is this game starts at 8:30 pm ET so we may not know if Murray will have won before the Mitch game starts at 10:00 pm ET. (If you didn't know, the plan is to win our early bets so we can bet Mitchell Robinson Over 7.5 points for free.) We should have a pretty good idea though.

Here's the thing about the Spurs, they are all healthy now. Dejounte Murray doesn't have to score all the time anymore. He can just watch other guys do dirt now. The kid hasn't reached 20 points in three straight games now. That has to feel good for him as a point guard.

Going back five games, Murray has dropped at least 10 dimes in every contest. During that span, he's seeing 20.2 potential assists per game. Everybody knows that's third in the NBA which is pretty good since there are a ton of guys in the NBA. The point is, he still has room to grow in this department and the books haven't priced it in.

San Antonio has the Chicago Bulls on the docket tonight which feels like a good matchup. For starters, only five teams have seen more assists per field goals made against them over the last three games than the Bulls. We're talking 68.6% here people. That's pretty high. I don't like betting guys to get double-digit anything (except points) but I think we can trust this kid.
