NBA Player Prop Picks for Saturday: Jimmy Butler Passes Too

The greatest measure of a human being is how they react to a horrific sports betting loss. Everyone knows that. Every true scholar has touched on the subject at some point or another. That's good news for those of us that watched Mitchell Robinson miss five straight free throws last night when all we needed was a point. Do you whine about it on Twitter? Do you make a "banned list" and claim he's on it? Of course not. That's for the weak. That's for the people that won't be betting sports in a year or so because they don't possess the strength it takes to get down. It's not for everyone. What real gamblers do is wake up the next day after another tragic "Mitch-style" loss and go through the lines. They find something that has a zero percent chance of losing and they hit it. That's what I'm doing tonight. (Reggie Jackson may be ok to have on a banned list. I wrote this before remembering that he plays basketball.)

This one is at FanDuel but have no fear if you can't bet there. DraftKings has 6.5 for +110 so you can always go there. As for BetMGM and Barstool, they are still MIA with player props on this game. It's sad but I understand. They're just scared as they should be. We're talking Jimmy Butler here.

The Heat are a tricky, tricky team right now. Kyle Lowry is out which changes the dynamic a little. He's out for personal reasons (in all seriousness, I hope everything is alright with that guy) so he could just pop back into the lineup at any point. It will likely be a 6:00pm ET tweet that just says "Kyle Lowry is available tonight".

If that happens tonight, I'm not sure that it will hurt this bet much. Butler played with Lowry in two games since returning and dropped at least nine dimes in each game. In fact, he's only gone under this number twice since coming back on January 14th. Once was because he got ejected and once was because Bam Adebayo kept getting assists on handoffs to Duncan Robinson.

The only tweet I'm afraid of is "Jimmy Butler is out Saturday night (toe)". Even if we get that one, the bet will be voided so the only thing we lose is a reason to watch this game. Still the matchup is perfect so that would suck.

Over their last three games, 67% of the buckets scored on Toronto have been assisted. That bodes well for a guy like Butler who is coming off a game where he saw 16 potential assists. We only need seven here and the bet is coming at plus money.
