John Hyslop takes a look at the NBA slate and finds a player prop that he loves. Today, he's focused on Domantas Sabonis

NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday: Going With Domantas Sabonis

I love Mondays. Do you know why? Because we can gamble. After a hard day's work, there's nothing better than watching some basketball player run on your television screen while you hope he passes out enough assists to cash a bet. It's literally the American Dream. Luckily tonight we have eight NBA games on the board. That means we can choose between 16 teams to find which poor bastard we're going to put our trust in. We've got options here people and I think I may have found one in the Los Angeles Clippers vs Indiana Pacers game.

Domantas Sabonis Over 6.5 Assists (+100) (Bet $100 to win $100)

We're at DraftKings but we can play this exact bet at FanDuel too. BetMGM and Barstool are still holding out on us in terms of player props for this game but they'll be around soon. We just have to be patient. That's all.

I don't know if you've ever seen this guy play basketball but he's filthy and I'm proud to get a number like this on him. He can score, he can rebound and he can dish. The guy legit does it all. What's even better is, he's in a situation right now where he kind of has to do everything.

Sabonis has only been back from injury for two games but he looked like a king in both. While he dropped 20+ points in each contest, it's the assists that I like the most. Over the two-game stretch, he saw an average of 17 potential assists which is eighth-most in the NBA over that span. To put it in perspective, he's seen as many potential assists as Dejounte Murray in the past two games. Could you imagine seeing Murray at 6.5 for +100?

I love that the Pacers are playing the Los Angeles Clippers tonight because they stink. Us Reggie Jackson people know that for a fact. Over the past three games, 73% of their opponents buckets have been assisted. That's insane.

The line in this one is only two so it should stay pretty close. The last thing we need is a blowout leading to starters sitting the fourth quarter but that doesn't seem likely. Even if it does, Sabonis has eight assists in just 28 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks the other day. I think we're good here.

* If you feel the need to James Bond this thing, FanDuel is offering 8+ at +172. You could get wild and go 10+ at +470 but going higher than that feels kind of crazy when you can get his triple double at +550. (Every time he's reached 10 assists this season he also dropped a triple dub.)

*UPDATE: Domantas Sabonis has been listed as out for tonight's game (Health Protocols)*
