Do you know what I like to do on Tuesdays? Gamble. It just feels right. On top of that, getting a bet down before lunch is good practice. It just is. Lucky for us, the NBA is an absolute mess at the moment. We've got guys out or questionable all over the place. That has to make it impossible for these books to price the other guys right. That's just science. One team that is seeing all kinds of injury nonsense is the Brooklyn Nets. They've got guys out, other guys questionable and one guy that's not even allowed to play in certain places. That's crazy. But in all that wildness, there's one guy that is actually back from injury and looking to dunk on someone. I'm backing him.

I'm at FanDuel here because I like to gamble. I could have easily wimped out (no offense wimps) and went to DraftKings or BetMGM for their 8.5 at -115 but I'm built different. Way different. And besides, FanDuel has the best price for 8.5 coming in at -106. I want more though.

Let me tell you about this kid, Nic Claxton. He's made out of 100%, pure, prime, pharmaceutical-grade testosterone. It's obvious. Now the haters are going to look at his game logs and question this pick, but they're not thinking straight. I can explain everything.

January 10 against Portland doesn't even count. He got hurt right before he was going to go off. The January 25th game against the Lakers doesn't count either since he was just getting back into game shape. He was only supposed to play like 15 minutes (still scored six points).

His next game against the Warriors on the 29th needs to be struck from the record too since the Nets tried to go small. Claxton dropped nine that night in only 17 minutes like the boss he is but we all know he could have done better. The kid too nine shots that night.

The Nets have the Phoenix Suns tonight and who have JaVale McGee and Bismack Biyombo. Going small is not an option especially since LaMarcus Aldridge is out. This Claxton kid is getting minutes tonight (probably).

Now I don't think Claxton is going to set any records tonight but 10 points seems likely. In his last 10 games (that count), he hit this total in nine of them. The time he didn't he scored nine points. We just saw Goga Bitadze handle Biyombo and McGee for 16 points the other night. Claxton can get 10 if he really tries, which he will.
