NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: Trusting Ayo Dosunmu

The NBA returns on Tuesday night, and we are fresh off cashing our lock of the universe last night following a win last night by the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors wanted to make us sweat a little bit which I respect, but tonight, I do not see much of a sweat coming up.

The Orlando Magic will travel to the Windy City to take on the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls. The Magic have been so bad at basketball this season they may have to get demoted out of the NBA. The upside for the Magic is they are very young and had a pair of lottery picks a season ago.

Other than that, however, this has been an awful season for the Magic. The Bulls have had their best start to a season in a long time. After the Derrick Rose era, the Bulls went on a long drought from the postseason. The Bulls were very active in the offseason adding guards Lonzo Ball and Demar DeRozan. DeRozan has been one of the best players in all of the NBA this season. DeRozan was selected as an Eastern Conference starter in the all-star game and will look to continue to anchor this team to the postseason. The Magic are a heavy nine-point road dog in this game tonight against this high-powered Bulls bunch.

The play I am going with in this game is going to be a prop concerning point guard Ayo Dosunmu. Ayo has taken over as the starting point guard since the injury of guard Lonzo Ball. Ball was having an outstanding season for the Bulls, so it was very unfortunate to see him hit the injury list. The bright side of this was that it allowed significant minutes for Ayo Dosunmu.

Ayo has been outstanding since jumping in the lineup for the Bulls. During his time at Illinois, Ayo was one of the best players in all of the nation, but he did slip through a bit in the draft. I was a little surprised by this, and early on in his career, he is proving the doubters wrong. The play we are going with is going to be Ayo Dosunmu over 3.5 assists. I think he could get this number in the first half. He has gone over this number in seven of his last nine games, and one of the times he did not, he got three. He will have a ton of chances to go over this number facing an awful Magic team who will surrender a ton of points to this Bulls lineup. I am all over this play tonight and willing to pay some of the juice that comes with it.
