NBA Player Prop Pick for Thursday: Going Back to our Friend Ayo
Do you people want some honesty? I just spent about 35 minutes trying to trim an Ayo Dosunmu postgame interview. Unfortunately, I did not succeed. Why? Because I didn't want to ruin what he said. Sure I can quote it here but it doesn't do it justice. You need to see the kid's face light up when someone asked what he likes best about basketball. Spoiler alert, he said "passing" and that he loves setting his teammates up for "easy shots". We all knew it but just because I couldn't figure out how to clip it and post it on Twitter, doesn't mean I have to finish today as a loser. There's only one thing that will make me feel better about this whole thing.

Ayo Dosunmu Over 4.5 Assists @ -105 (Bet $105 to win $100)
Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing
Now I got this yesterday at +130 but I'm not going to quote that here since that number is long gone. (Honest man syndrome.) But, -105 is still hanging at both DraftKings and BetMGM so that's fine. FanDuel is likely to get smashed with all of the escalators they offer which is one reason they've already jumped to 5.5 at +134. That's still not crazy.
Right now this kid is the centerpiece of my personal All-NBA First Team and for good reason. He's an earner. You can send him out night after night to collect green backs and he comes back with them. Great kid. Tonight, I feel like he's set up to bring home a couple more bags.
The Bulls will be in Toronto taking on the Raptors in a game that really should be on TNT. Not a big "complain about what game is on" guy but that's just how I feel. We're still getting a Chris Paul/Trae Young assist-off so there's that but the people want Ayo. Everyone knows that.
The thing about Toronto is when a bucket is scored against them, it's usually assisted. In fact, only two teams in the NBA see a higher opponent assist per FGM than the Raptors. Not to be rude to Delon Wright but he just dropped seven dimes in 23 minutes on these guys the other night.
The haters are going to say that DeMar DeRozan is going to hog the ball tonight since it's his former team. Keep in mind, he already hogs the ball and Ayo does just fine. We can also spin that narrative by going with the "Band of Brothers" theory since DeRozan has taken Dosunmu under his wing like a little brother. Of course the little brother is going to feed the big brother. That's how brothers work.
