NBA Player Prop Pick for Friday: Brandon Goodwin Might Be Good
We need to gamble tonight people. It's Friday and we've earned it. But I need to confess something first. I was going through my bet log as I do from time to time, and I noticed I've been getting soft. If you haven't seen it, there are a bunch of -115 to -120 type numbers in there that just look dumb. What are they even doing there? Was that even me? Obviously, I have to leave the past in the past but I can change what the future looks like. We'll start tonight with a banger on a guy most of us have never heard of.

Brandon Goodwin 15+ Points (+310) (Bet $100 to win $310)
Obviously this one is at FanDuel since it's a ladder move. They also have 10.5 at -104 but if we're betting Brandon Goodwin at 11, why aren't we just betting 15+ for +310. It makes sense. Plus if you're betting Goodwin's 10.5, do it at Barstool because they have it for even money.
I know what you're thinking, 'why are we betting Brandon Goodwin YOLOs?' That's actually a good question. The answer is simple really, I like the big number on the right-hand side of the plus sign. You have to admit, that 310 looks absolutely majestic. Even more so on a Friday.
Here's the thing about Goodwin, the books can't price him right. They just can't. He barely plays. I feel like we should take advantage of that and we should start tonight before everyone knows what a beast this kid really is.
His only start this season was last game and he dropped seven points. That won't cash this bet tonight because seven is less than 15 (math). But it wasn't his fault. It was Jarrett Allen's fault. He got into foul trouble which lead to Kevin Love coming in at weird times.
When Love was in the game, the guy looked like he thought he was the only one allowed to shoot. He ended up taking 20 shots and so did Evan Mobley while we're at it. I just don't know if that's going to happen again tonight. Feels like it won't.
The Cavaliers are playing the Charlotte Hornets which seems good. Even though he's listed at shooting guard, Goodwin looked like he was running point last game and those guys have smashed against the Hornets recently. Reggie Jackson took them for 19 the other night. Enough said.
On top of that, Charlotte plays at the second-fastest pace in the NBA. We could get extra possessions tonight. It's a little-known fact that Goodwin went into this same building last season as a member of the Atlanta Hawks and hung 17 on this same Hornets team (pretty much). Why can't he get 15 tonight?
