Monday's NBA Player Prop Pick from Beyond the Arc: Monday is Thomas Bryant's Time to Shine
I talked to you guys just a couple of days ago about Thomas Bryant, and we’re right back at it again today. Last time I wrote him up, I was aiming for the stars and he came up just short. He did cover his 1+ 3PM at -140, but he fell just short of that +380 payout in a blowout loss.

Last game, against the Suns, I played this number at -110 and he ended up knocking down an early first-quarter 3-pointer. Unfortunately, Bryant has barely played outside of the first quarter due to the Wizards string of blowout losses. Who's to blame for that? Well probably multiple people, including the Wizards front office, coach Wes Unseld Jr. and Thomas himself. This starting lineup, and even broader two-man rotation with Trezz and Bryant, has been awful at keeping this team competitive.
Despite that, Bryant is still over this prop in four of his last five games and should be in line to start once again. With Gafford actually in Health and Safety protocol, as opposed to just being benched for no reason, we could see Bryant's 15-20 minute workload increase even more. If the Wizards manage to keep it close, then he could actually be inline for high-20 minutes.
The Heat are also a good matchup. With interior stopper Bam Adebayo holding down the paint, the Heat allow opposing shooters to take their chances outside, but really eliminate the interior attack. We’ve seen Bryant used in the pick-and-pop game quiet often for the Wizards this year. With Dinwiddie's inability to successfully get in the paint, I think the Wizards will be taking plenty of outside shots today. He's over in 5 of 6 games playing 15+ minutes this year, I think this should be another first-quarter cash.

Obviously this outlook is much less likely, but it's worth a quarter-unit sprinkle for me. He's only hit this number once, in nine games this year, but it was in his most-played game of the year, playing 22 minutes. If the Wizards can manage to not get blown out, I think he has potential to not only clear this number at 2, but even climb the ladder further. Bryant is a couple of days away from being traded. Hopefully, he can show other teams some of that nice outside shooting tonight.
