NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: Brandon Ingram Gets Busy

NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: Brandon Ingram Gets Busy
I was right in the middle of writing what many would call the greatest bet write-up in the history of bet write-ups when news broke about the CJ McCollum trade. It had everything, points, plus money signs, it was an over, everything. Then the props just disappeared. But this isn't a story about loss. No way. This story is about perseverance, survival, and even a little bit of humbleness. Because I didn't quit when the lines went down. I just kept digging like any absolute beast would do. What I found was simply amazing although we all know I would never say that publicly. It's just not my style. Just give the ball back to the ref when you score type over here. No dancing.

Brandon Ingram 30+ Points (+134) (Bet $100 to Win $134)
*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*
Brandon Ingram Over .5 Blocked Shots (+140) (Bet $100 to Win $140)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
I like the points at FanDuel since we can go 30+ for plus money. DraftKings has 26.5 which is nice but it's at -115 which feels pretty expensive to me. As for the blocks, that can be done at DraftKings and BetMGM. The issue is, BetMGM has not posted blocks yet for this game but they normally do so it is just a matter of being patient at this point. They should come.
The Pelicans just pulled off a nice little trade with the Portland Trail Blazers today which netted CJ McCollum. In doing so, they lost Josh Hart and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. I don't know what you know about Brandon Ingram but he doesn't need a reason to take more shots. He just got one though.
The Pelicans will obviously be short-handed tonight but they're playing the Houston Rockets so it won't matter. They can still just do whatever they want. Usually you have to worry about a short-handed team getting blown out but the opposite is true tonight although I think the Rockets are just good enough not to get waxed tonight. Translation, Ingram could play close to 40 minutes tonight.
In two games against the Rockets this season, Ingram hasn't scored less than 33 points. In the game against Houston played without Hart, he went off for 40 points. He took 28 shots that night and it's not crazy to think he wouldn't do that again. The guy was just snubbed from the All-Star Team, had his friend traded and gets to play a team that he owns. Feels like a good spot to back him.
* As for the blocks, Ingram has blocked a shot in all three games since returning to the lineup. He's getting a team in Houston that is third to last in the NBA in opponents blocks per game. It's not crazy to think he gets one tonight. We only need one.
