ANALYSIS

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction: Bank on Joel Embiid and the Sixers

It is time for my best NBA bet of the day. We were red hot last week going 8-1 but took a bad loss last night on the Hornets. They fell back by twenty-four points early and could never recover. The good thing about a loss is that it starts a new winning streak! Tonight we will head to the City of Brotherly Love as the Phoenix Suns will take on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Suns enter play as the best team in all of the NBA while the 76ers led by MVP front runner Joel Embiid are a top-four team in the eastern conference. Let’s diagnose this game a bit.

76ers vs. Suns Line Movement

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction

The Suns will be on a road back to back following up a three-point win in the Windy City last night. I had the Bulls spread last night, and I must say that was my luckiest win of the season. The Bulls were down 15 points with 2 minutes left and came all the way back to cover +7. I love the Bulls for that, but the 76ers will have to play much better than the Bulls did last night to get the cover here. The Suns seem like a team that is destined for a championship. Their role players fit their roles perfectly, their star players have been stars, and they have one of the best head coaches in all of the NBA. The 76ers are in the midst of a nightmare situation with their star guard Ben Simmons, but many think that could come to an end as soon as tonight. James Harden has been the hot name in a deal for Simmons, so Philly fans like myself will be patiently waiting for something to happen in the coming days!

The pick I am going with in this game tonight will be to back the Philadelphia 76ers on the short moneyline. I know it is scary to fade the Suns, but the last three times I have, I won, so maybe I figured out this team. I took the Bulls the previous night in a miracle cover, and I took the Hawks last week when they beat the Suns. This is a spot that is similar to that Hawks play but for a bit of a different reason. The first reason is the line. I am a die-hard Philly fan, and the Sixers are not close to as good as the Suns. The line simply makes no sense tonight, so I will be backing the sharp side here. The second reason is the Suns are on their last game of an extended road trip. This is a tough game for them to get up for, and they could be looking ahead to get back at home for a long homestand. I expect a big night from the MVP in Joel Embiid and for the 76ers to take care of business at home in front of the Philly faithful. Let’s keep things rolling tonight!
