NBA Player Prop Pick for Thursday: Jonas Valanciunas is Going Under

Everybody knows that I don't want to bet an under. I'm sick even thinking about it if we're being honest (we are). But at some point, we have to recognize that certain players are absolutely killing innocent gamblers' bankrolls every night. We're talking every night here people. What happens when all the betting money is gone? What do we do then? Now I can put up with a lot. I have a wife and three daughters. I'm battle-tested. But at some point we have to draw a line and start holding these ticket killers responsible. They need to be on some type of probationary period until they can pay back the cash they've cost these poor, poor gamblers who believed in them. The only thing I can think of is taking their unders. It sends the message that we're serious about this.

Do I hate Jonas? No. I don't hate anybody or anything. It's just not in my nature. But, we have to have standards in our lives people. Sometimes we need a wake up call to get us back on track. If getting your PRA bet under by me isn't a wake up call, then I don't know what is.

Jonas brought this on himself though and we can't forget that. Over his last five games, he hasn't topped this number even once. He had two games against Houston too. To make matters worse, he fouled out of two of his last three games and had five in the one he didn't foul out of.

Even if Jonas doesn't get into foul trouble tonight against Bam Adebayo, he may have problems scoring. Over their last three games, the Heat are second best in the NBA in defensive efficiency. They big boy everyone. Mitch has a game against them in a couple weeks and I'm worried sick.

It's really just not the last three games though. Over his last three matchups with the Heat, Jonas hasn't hit this number even once. He had a 20-10 game and still didn't get home because he didn't get an assist. In fact, he hasn't recorded an assist in any of the three games he's seen the Heat over the last two years. I hate to do it because Jonas seems like a nice guy, but the under has to happen. Our hands are tied here.
