NBA Player Prop Picks for Sunday: Oshae Brissett Can Ball

We have to bet something before the Super Bowl starts and that means the NBA. We've got the Celtics/Hawks or the Pacers/Timberwolves to choose from. Personally, I like the later game so I'm in on that one. With all the Super Bowl pregame stuff, we'll need action to keep our brains sharp for the big game. That's just how brains work. Luckily for us, the Pacers are an absolute mess for the books to cap right now. With the trades that went down, it's anyone's guess as to who is going to do what. I love when that happens.

Oshae Brissett 11.5 Points (-116) (Bet $116 to Win $100)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

This one is at FanDuel right now but the 11.5 is pretty much everywhere. The only reason I'm playing at FanDuel is because DraftKings wants -125 and BetMGM wants -130 for this banger. I can't see going that high but if you have to you have to. It's Super Bowl Sunday so it's cool.

I think this kid won the trade deadline for Indiana. He should actually get to play now. In his first game without Torrey Craig hogging all the minutes at power forward, Brissett dropped 18 points. He's a beast and if we're being honest, I need a power forward on my All-NBA 1st Team. This game could catapult him onto the squad.

Now I'm not betting this simply because Brissett had 18 points in his last game. Not by a longshot. I'm basing this on the fact that I bet on this kid way back in April of last season. April 19th to be exact. The Pacers let him start because Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner were unavailable. Even though Indiana got waxed, Brissett dropped 13 points that game in less than 25 minutes.

God only knows what the Pacers' lineup will look like today but I think Brissett will play big minutes. He has to since there are not many other options. On top of the minutes, we're getting a pace-up spot so this kid should shoot the ball 10+ times.

One added bonus is the fact that Brissett has been getting to the free-throw line in his last two games. Sixteen times in the two contests to be exact. That's important because only one team in the entire NBA fouls people more on a per-possession basis than Minnesota. Because of that, they allow opponents to shoot more free throws per game than any other team. Brissett is likely to score from everywhere in this game. We only need 12.
