NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday: Pascal Siakam Is a Beast
When you wake up the day after the Super Bowl, you need to realize something. Just because football is over, doesn't mean we just stop gambling. In fact, it means the opposite. We need to bet even more and the best way I know of is to throw down on guys throwing a ball at a hoop (basketball). It just makes sense. Lucky for us, we have choices. The NBA (obviously) and the kids in the NCAA. I'm going to brush up on my college hoops but for the time being, we can slam the NBA and we can start tonight with Pascal Siakam.

Pascal Siakam Over 35.5 P+R+A (-115) (Bet $115 to Win $100)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
I'm at DraftKings here because BetMGM doesn't even have player prop lines out for this game yet. FanDuel hung 36.5 at -120 so I'm definitely out there too. I like the best number at the best price. That's not too much to ask.
This number might be the most disrespectful number I've ever seen on a player. It's bad. He's gone over this number in each of his last six games. He's gone into the 40s in five of those six games. Simply put, the man is on a heater and the books don't seem to care.
Obviously, when you're betting on one of these P+R+A bets, you want points. It's the quickest way to glory since you get two or three points for every one basket made (math). Unless it's a free throw but those are just cherries on top. In Siakam's last six games, his lowest point total is 24. That's a pretty good start for us if he does then again tonight.
In terms of rebounds, they are always a guessing game but his number is 8.5 and he's gone over that in six of his last seven games. The guy pulled down at least 13 in three of those games so we have upside here. Upside is our best friend in these things.
Finally, his assists are hanging around at 4.5 which is another low number given what he's done recently. Over his last six games, he's averaging 11.3 potential assists per game. He's turned those potentials into at least four dimes in all six games. He went for at least seven in half of the six contests. That's just more upside if you ask me.
Opponent matters in these things and the Raptors have the Pelicans tonight. The game should stay relatively close for Nick Nurse to play his starters close to 40 minutes. Siakam hit played 42 minutes against New Orleans back on January 9th and ended up with a 29-10-7 line. I think he gets into the 40s again tonight.
