Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers prediction and pick for Wednesday night's game out West. Handicapper Josh Gayle says he found a disrespectful line, as it just doesnt match up with the production this player has shown all year.

Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction: Rudy Gobert Doing What He Does

Handicapper Josh Gayle has identified a player prop line that he calls "disrespectful" ahead of this matchup between Western Conference teams. Not only does Rudy Gobert clean up on the glass, but the Lakers have a tendency to let opposing centers feast when it comes to their rebound numbers. Make sure you're tailing Josh on this one tonight so you don't miss out on an easy winner.

Who made this line? You need a raise. This seems like a major overreaction to last game only seeing 22 minutes. Last game was a major blowout and he got ejected in the 3rd quarter. He was on a minor minutes limit that game was still on track to play 30+ minutes has the game remained close. I’ve never seen a Rudy Gobert line this low and for good reason, the man averages nearly 15 rebounds a game. Only needing 12 in what projects to be a close game is something I’m willing to double up and put 2 units on.

Gobert when facing off vs Anthony Davis has 13+ rebounds in 10 of his last 13 and we only need 12. Lebron being questionable doesn’t play too much of a factor in my eyes. If James sits then we will likely see a less functional Lakers offense resulting in more rebounds through the first three quarters. If Lebron plays then i like Goberts chances to play throughout the entirety of the game and see more minutes to have more reps at hauling in some boards. I think either way this number is too low and something I will not overthink.

Rudy has 12+ rebounds in 33/42 games of playing 24+ minutes. Lakers don’t scare me as a team to stop that trend. Lakers in the last 6 games have allowed the following

  • Nurkic: 13 REB (averages 11)
  • Ibaka: 8 (averages 4)
  • Randle: 16 (averages 10)
  • Robinson: 11 (averages 9)
  • Giannis: 14 (aveages 11)
  • Nurkic: 12 (averages 11)
  • Looney: 12 (averages 7)

Lakers are allowing a ton of bigs to have big rebound games and Gobert is the best rebounder in the NBA. This seems like chalk but sometimes you just gotta take what is given, lets ride!
