Thursday's NBA Player Prop Pick From Beyond the Arc: Seth Curry is Set to Let it Fly

Despite hitting a 3 with the first shot of the game, Andrew Wiggins, unfortunately, did not end up hitting another 3. Fortunately, we still have one more day of basketball before the All-Star break to make our money back. While the day before the All-Star break can get weird, I'm confident we found a nice spot here today.

Seth Curry o2.5 3PM @ -110 (Bet $110 to win $100

No Kyrie Irving. No James Harden. No Kevin Durant. Well, then who’s left to carry the scoring load? It's going to be a combination of Seth Curry, Patty Mills, and rookie Cam Thomas. While all of these guys are gonna be called upon to score today, I think Seth Curry is our best option here. Patty Mills has been great from beyond the arc this year but has been very inconsistent, and Cam Thomas will likely draw the tougher matchup.

Curry has started out incredibly strong with the Nets, going 3-8 and 6-9 in his two games so far. On the season, he's shooting 40% from beyond the arc, along with being one of the best midrange shooters in the NBA (only behind LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Durant in mid-range FG%). Since this is a 3-point column, I'm obviously betting on his threes, but I also love the Points.

Curry is 1-for-2 on this number this year against the Wizards but this is a totally new situation. Not only has his usage drastically increased, but he is now also serving as the floor general most of the time he is on the court. A lot of people may be concerned about the Wizards' 3-point defense, but I’m not really worried. They started the season strong, but with trades involving Spencer Dinwiddie and Montrezl Harrell, this team is still finding its identity on defense. Honestly, my biggest worry here is that Curry scores so easily in the midrange that he may not even take a lot of threes, but that was my exact worry last night and he knocked down 6 of them!
