NBA All-Star Game Best Bets: Are We Betting The ASG? Absolutely

One angle that I like to hit in All-Star Games is to bet overs on point totals for guys who are either first-time All-Stars or guys who don’t frequently make the All-Star team. These guys don’t know when they’ll be back, if ever, and I anticipate them taking a lot of shots anytime they touch the ball.

A few guys fit the narrative I just outlined and one of my favorite bets for tonight’s All-Star Game is Andrew Wiggins o11.5 points at -108. A lot of fuss was made because Wiggins doesn’t necessarily deserve to be an All-Star starter but he’s still a solid player having an above-average year. I have to imagine he’s seen a lot of criticism for his selection and my hope is he will be highly motivated to put up a solid game. Wiggins can also get hot from 3-point range at times and I'm not going to be surprised if he puts up some highlight-reel dunks

The second prop I really like for tonight is Ja Morant o20.5 points at -115. Ja Morant and the Grizzlies' success this season has been one of the biggest stories in the NBA. He has put up some highlight reel dunks and have to imagine he wants to show off here tonight. He is also a solid shooter, even though he doesn’t take many 3s and have to believe he wants to show off his shooting ability as well. These are fun bets but I really think these 2 guys I have talked about will have solid games and think they will both go over their point total tonight.
