You could play o8.5 assists at -140 but for just one more assist and 10 points we get 60 more cents on the dollar, I like that for us. Trae has only had one game with exactly 9 assists in his last 17 games. He has been a double-double machine having 28 in 53 games this year. Although that’s only 52.8%, that is still incredible value at +120 in a plus matchup. Chicago has been brutal at allowing assists and Trae Young is a shoo-in for 10+ points.
Chicago has allowed the 5th most assists to point guards this season and have been especially bad as of late. Chris Paul, Josh Giddey and Dejuonte Murray all had double-doubles against the Bulls in the last week before the All-Star break. Trae has played Chicago twice this year and has 20 assists throughout those two games, if he stays on pace with what he’s already done he is very capable of having double-digit dimes.

I absolutely love this close game spread. Often times when we see Trae fall short it’s due to lower minutes but with both teams with something to play for, I believe we will see a well rested Trae receive 35+ minutes. In games with 35+ minutes we have seen Trae hit this prop in 19/31 which is a nicer 61% hit rate and that’s not even factoring in how bad the Bulls defense is at preventing assists. I truly think our bet will come down to will the game stay close, which I think it should.
