Phoenix Suns vs. Utah Jazz Player Prop: Can Devin Booker Cook Against the Jazz?
Devin Booker has been on a tear over the last month and a half. He has at least 25 points in 16 of his last 20 games and at least 28 points in 13 of his last 20. D-Book is posting an incredible 29.2 points per game during this stretch, and with the Suns hosting the Jazz this afternoon, I like Booker to stay hot.

Booker's been enjoying some massive volume during his 20-game scoring spree. He's shooting a ridiculously high 23.6 times per game, in addition to 5.7 free-throw attempts each night. This volume places the Suns' guard at the absolute top of the league. Booker is tied with Ja Morant for the most field goal attempts per game over the last 20 games. And, he's posting a usage rate rivaling that of LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan during this stretch, too.
There's no doubt in my mind that Booker's lofty usage will remain consistent going forward. Chris Paul will be sidelined for at least the next month with a hand injury. Cameron Payne remains on the shelf with a wrist injury. And, the newly acquired Aaron Holiday may sit today's game with an ankle injury. That leaves Booker as Phoenix's only capable ball-dominant guard, which means he should see all the work he can handle.

The Kentucky product was already seeing a rise in playing time due to Cameron Payne's absence; Booker has played 37.1 minutes per game in 16 games since Payne exited the lineup, compared to just 33.0 before that. And now with the removal of Chris Paul as well, the Suns have become a one-man show offensively. This is excellent for Booker's scoring outlook, especially against a Utah team he has feasted on lately.
The three-time All-Star dropped 33 and 43 in back-to-back games against the Jazz only a month ago. Going back to last season, he had 31, 35, and 25 in three matchups with Utah. Some simple math tells me that Booker is averaging 33.4 PPG on 26.0 FGA per game across his last five meetings with the Jazz. This makes perfect sense, considering Utah's biggest defensive weakness is their lack of a perimeter stopper. Without CP3 to help D-Book shoulder the load, expect him to dominate Utah all game.
Booker is fresh off of a 30-point performance on Friday night, and another 30-piece could be in the works on ABC today. If you're feeling really ambitious, feel free to sprinkle a wager on Booker to score 35+ points at some juicy +330 odds on FanDuel. Either way, you should feel great about Phoenix's stud guard to reach the over on his 27.5 over/under.
