1u - CJ McCollum o2.5 3PM (-127 @ Barstool) (Bet $127 to win $100)
CJ has really seemed to enjoy his new team and role. The new craze when looking at him are his assists which makes perfect sense but we’re gonna kick it old school and go with his 3PM. CJ has hit 3 or more threes in four of seven games since joining the Pelicans and is averaging 3.28 3PM per game in that short span.
That number is a great sign of what’s to come as New Orleans really seems to trust CJ. Sacramento is an outstanding matchup that allows the fifth-most points to the point guard position where McCollum now resides.
CJ’s points prop was my first lean but I saw 24.5 and got scared off. If he were to get even 20+ points that would be a great sign that he has hit our threes as he’s achieved that in 21/25 games he has scored at least 20. This bet just feels like it needs to be 3.5 at plus money. Sacramento has allowed the opposing starting point guard to hit this prop in 5 straight. SGA hit 3, Monte Morris hit 5 and 3 in back to backs, Seth Curry hit 3 and Coby White hit 6. If they can all do that I like McCollum's chances of hitting a measly 3.

McCollum has faced Sacramento twice this year when he was a member of the Blazers and he has made seven threes in 17 tries in two games. If he can see eight or nine attempts I really like his chance to not down a third of his tries. This game projects to be scary high scoring with the highest total on the slate of 235.5. The Pelicans are projected for over 120 points and if that’s the case I would strongly believe CJ had a ton to do with that, hopefully, that damage comes behind the arc. I would play this up to -140 at the absolute juiciest but wouldn’t touch anything at 3.5 if this line jumps on us.
