I am sorry to disappoint all of you, but we will be heading to San Antonio for a battle between the Sacramento Kings and the San Antonio Spurs. If the season ended today, neither of these teams would be a playoff team, but with the number ten seed being wide open, it is still possible one of these teams could back their way into a play in-game in the west.

The Kings were active at the deadline, moving two former lottery picks in Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. They did bring in former all-star big Domantas Sabonis, who they have paired with star guard De’Aaron Fox. The two have earned the nickname the Fox and the Ox in Sacramento as they look to turn around this franchise. The Spurs knew coming into the season that they would be a bit of a rebuild mode. The Spurs have got outstanding play by first-time all-star Dejaunte Murray. Murray had placed himself as one of the best young guards in all of the NBA and has been a matchup nightmare for teams this season. The Spurs have young talent on this team, but it may take a year or two more before the big results begin to show. The spurs enter play tonight as a six-and-a-half-point favorite. 

The pick I am going with tonight is going to be another team total under. We have been killing these this week, and so I absolutely love the spot we are getting here tonight. The King's team total is currently sitting all the way up there at 118.5. This is a number I feel is too tall for the kings in tonight’s game.

The Kings as a team do not average anywhere near that number as they enter play, scoring 110 points per game. The second reason I love this number is the Kings come into this game off a back-to-back in which their starters played a lot of minutes. I do not think this Kings offense is good enough to throw up a number that big tonight. The question becomes can the Spurs shut them down.

The Spurs are not a great defense, but they do allow under this number per game. I think they will be the much more active team tonight and force the Kings into a tough shooting night. The Kings average fewer points on the road than they do overall, scoring just 109 per game away from Sacramento.
