Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Player Prop: Will Buddy Hield Continue Dishing?

Buddy Hield has enjoyed a wildly impressive stretch with the Pacers since being traded to Indiana around this year's trade deadline. As the Cavaliers travel to Indianapolis tonight, I like Hield's solid playmaking to continue.

Buddy Hield Over 3.5 Assists @ +120 (Bet $100 to win $120)

*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*

Buddy Hield has at least four assists in eight of his 10 games with Indiana. He's averaging 5.4 assists per game on 9.3 potential assists per game during his time in the midwest. Pacers Head Coach Rick Carlisle remains set on giving Hield a gigantic number of minutes each and every night, which paves the way for Buddy's assist run to continue.

The sixth-year wing is playing 39.3 minutes per game in Indy, notching at least 37 minutes played in every game but one. Cleveland is favored by only three points tonight since they're on the road and without all-star center Jarrett Allen. So, we should be able to expect plenty of playing time for Buddy this evening.

There were some worries that Malcolm Brogdon's return to the lineup would cut into Hield's role in the offense. However, that has been far from the case. The former Kings guard has cleared this line in four of five games alongside Brogdon, averaging 5.6 APG as part of Indy's three-guard attack. And, even if Chris Duarte and Lance Stephenson (both game-time decisions) suit up tonight, Buddy's touches and playing time are more than safe.

The matchup against an elite Cavs defense may seem like a rough one at first glance. But, with Allen sidelined, we can expect more minutes from Kevin Love, Ed Davis, and Cedi Osman in Cleveland's rotation. This is a major defensive drop-off for Cleveland's frontcourt. Hield also managed eight dimes on 13 potential assists in Indy's last meeting with the Cavs just a few weeks ago. A repeat performance isn't out of the question for the 29-year-old at home tonight.

At plus-odds, this play has some incredible value. Look for Buddy Hield to continue thriving as a secondary playmaker in Rick Carlisle's system tonight.
