At this point, it’s an auto bet. The Nuggets have won their first to 15 race in 26 of their last 26 games when Jokic plays. He should be a go for tonight even though Will Barton is questionable. Even without Barton, we should be fine as Denver really opens games as a team well. Denver matches up with the Kings whom they played three times. Nuggets are scoring at will vs Sacramento on the season, they’re averaging 121.3 points per game against them among the three games, and Sacramento’s just averaging over 110. Denver just seems like the much better team and it’s rare that they play down to their opponents' skill. The hit rate of this bet makes betting at these odds an absolute no-brainer. Even if the bet doesn’t hit we can’t be mad at these guys as they’ve made us so much in the past if you’ve been riding along.
Potentially losing Barton hurts but it’s also the reason the odds are as good as they are for tonight and we don’t have to pair this with another leg. If for whatever reason this jumps (it shouldn’t) I would pair it with TimberWolves Moneyline and see where that gets you. This bet is just a sign of respect and is something I refuse to watch cash without us. Jokic is starting to make an MVP case yet again as his odds are increasing, hopefully, we see MVP Jokic open the 1st quarter, then he can miss every shot for all we care.
