Stuart Durst gives his favorite NBA Player Prop for today's slate. He's riding with PJ Washington again after his performance on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS

Friday's NBA Player Prop Pick from Beyond the Arc: Back on PJ Washington

After an exciting +250 hit last game, I’m ready to keep our momentum going today. With yesterday's mini two-game slate we sat back and enjoyed the craziness, but today we have an absolutely loaded slate. Will be revisiting some familiar faces along with finding some nice value spots.

PJ Washington o2.5 3PM +235 (Bet $100 to win $235)

Going right back to the well here. PJ has now hit this number in four of seven games since returning from the All-Star break. With his positional versatility, PJ being able to start and the four while still being able to play small-ball five has helped him playing 37+ minutes in three straight games, including a back-to-back. With the incredibly tight rotations this team is running, I'm expecting another 35+ minute game tonight.

While the Pelicans are a hard team to pin down without CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram, they are still currently only three-point underdogs. With Haxes and Jonas Val both starting and protecting the rim, I believe we are in another situation where Washington is incentivized to take more of those outside shots.

One of the big reasons I played his overs against Boston last game was because of the interior rim protection Boston has with their two big man center rotations, and I think this is a comparable situation.

Overall not only is his performance peaking at the right time, as the Hornets try to make a playoff push, but we have a pretty solid matchup today. His four 3PM is currently priced at +700, which I think is also worth a sprinkle. Seeing him averaging close to seven attempts per game since the All-Star Break gives me confidence he will continue to come out firing.
