Mitchell Robinson has been outstanding on the defensive side of the ball. He’s averaging the seventh most rejections in the NBA with 1.6 and I see that number climbing tonight. This number just got affected by his strange two-minute outing where he then went to the bench because he was feeling sick. He looked back to normal on Wednesday putting up a monster three-block performance vs Dallas which is no easy task. Dallas allows the third-fewest blocks to the center position but Mitch came in and turned it into a swat party anyway.

So why am I so confident he can get 2+ tonight? These two teams faced off early on in February and Mitch did what most humans couldn’t dream of doing. He had EIGHT blocks in that game. I fact0checked it and to my surprise, the rumors ring true. How this wasn’t talked about more, I may never know. Last year vs a very similar Grizzlies team, Mitch up a very nice four blocks which is nothing to sneeze at. He has 12 blocks in his last two matchups vs this team, why wouldn’t I bet on him to get a measly two tonight? Memphis allows the third-most blocks to the center position because they love to drive. This should be light work.

Winning a defensive prop would make you feel like a genius and if we lose it we can just say it’s a stupid market and move on. It’s actually a foolproof plan I will gladly take part in. Ja Morant specifically was getting swatted left and right by Robinson last meeting and with Ja’s extra usage as of late I think this prop has a real edge to it. This bet could cash in the 1st quarter or it could cash in the last possession, that screams Friday funday. I would only play this up to maybe -140 becuase I think it’s a strange market but I dig it for what it’s currently at and gives us something we don’t usually root for.
