NBA Parlay Breakdown

The Los Angeles Clippers haven't played since Friday, so should be well-rested coming into their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. While the Clippers haven't released their injury report for today, it's safe to assume they'll be missing the same six guys they were missing on Friday - two of whom (Kawhi Leonard and Paul George) are unlikely to play again this season. Still, the Clippers have found ways to be competitive in recent weeks, and boast a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. However, the Cavaliers will pose the Los Angeles outfit with a tough opponent tonight, although the continued absence of Jarrett Allen continues to hinder the teams stifling defense. Lauri Markkanen and Caris LeVert are both questionable for tonight's game, and should they play, the Cavaliers will become heavy favorites to register a victory. I like the Cavaliers for tonight's game, but their 3-7 record in their last 10 games can't be ignored. I'm going to give the Los Angeles Clippers a +10-point spread for this contest, as they have a genuine chance of winning this contest.

There are a few teams around the NBA that are dealing with a crisis right now, but none more so than the Portland Trail Blazers. You could see this collapse coming from a mile away, and now, after trading away CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, and Robert Covington, the crisis is in full swing. Yet, somehow the Trail Blazers have won 4 of their last 10 games, but that doesn't change the fact this team is one move away from stripping the team down to the studs and rebuilding. It's this crisis, coupled with the Trail Blazers injury issues - they're missing 8 guys tonight, including Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic - that will have the Atlanta Hawks licking their lips at the thought of an easy victory. The Hawks haven't released their injury report at the time of writing, but judging by their 6-4 record over the last 10 games, they're not missing any major pieces. I like this Hawks team, especially against a Trail Blazers team that won't test Atlanta's poor defense, which is why I'm backing them to register a big win tonight. A +16-point spread is needed if we want to hedge our bets because I can't back the Trail Blazers to keep things to single digits - but hey, this is the NBA, and wild things happen every night.

The last game of this three-team parlay sees the Washington Wizards face off against the Golden State Warriors. I've been a lot more cautious when backing the Warriors recently, and it's paid dividends overall. Still, I have to back the San Fransico-based team against a lackluster Wizards team missing their best player. In what will be a gigantic boost to the Warriors moving forwards, Draymond Green is no longer listed on the injury report, and the team finally has its big three back together for the first time in over two years - that's important to remember moving forwards. The Wizards, on the other hand, are 3-and-7 in their last 10 games, and while Kristaps Porzingis is healthy again, the team is still figuring out how to get the best out of their Unicorn. Unfortunately, the Wizards will be coming up against a full-strength Warriors team - and that's not a position anybody wants to be in. As such, I'm giving the Wizards a massive +15.5-point spread, which should easily see us through the final leg of this parlay.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Denver Nuggets Same-Game Parlay

The Denver Nuggets have lost their last two games, but hold a 7-3 record over their last 10 games and find themselves sitting sixth in the Western Conference. Michael Malone's men have performed valiantly all season, despite their roster being limited by a string of long-term injuries to some of their best players. Tonight, the Nuggets face off against Joel Embiid and James Harden along with the rest of the Philadelphia 76ers roster. It's going to be a battle. We will see MVP Nikola Jokic face off against MVP candidate Joel Embiid, while James Harden has been impressive since joining his new team. The Sixers have won 8 of their last 10 games and look every bit the championship contender the media are building them up to be. There will be roster battles throughout this game, but in the end, the Sixers perimeter defense and scoring talent should shine through - especially since Tyrese Maxey stepped up as the team's 3rd option on offense. I like the Sixers for tonight, as I think their roster is deeper and more talented than what Denver currently has available to them. A +8 spread should cover our bases here.

Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks Same-Game Parlay

Click Here for Jazz vs Bucks Odds

In what I consider to be today's marquee match-up, the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Utah Jazz in a battle that could be a prelude to the NBA finals later this year. Both the Jazz and Bucks are healthy coming into this game, and Milwaukee will be boosted by the return of Brook Lopez, who has missed the last three months due to back surgery. Suddenly, the Bucks have their championship-winning roster back together and sharing the court, and that will be a genuine test of how far the Jazz have come this season. Utah has won 6 of their last 10 games while the Bucks hold a record of 7 and 3 in their last 10 - so both teams are in similar form heading into tonight. Honestly, when two powerhouses like these two teams face off, the game can go either way. I'm giving the Bucks a slight edge due to Lopez's return, but the Jazz also screams to be good value at +9, and we should feel confident of getting this parlay over the line.
