ANALYSIS

Wednesday's NBA Player Prop from Beyond the Arc: Give De'Aaron Fox Some Space

Despite March Madness being right around the corner, the NBA is alive and well with a very nice 12 game slate. Today we're taking the 3-point article to Sacramento, where the Kings will take on the reigning champions. With a game total set at 241, it's clear that this game is going to have some offense.

De’Aaron Fox o1.5 3PM (-132) (Bet $132 to Win $100)

Coming off some of the best basketball of his life, I believe Fox keeps the train rolling against the Bucks. While he is known for attacking the rim, his 3-point production has been really good over the last couple of games, going 3-8, 5-11, and 4-6 over his last three games. He's gone over this number in 5 of his last 6 games, and seeing the increased volume over the last game has given me confidence.

The reason I choose his threes over points, despite it being the less consistent stat for Fox, is because of the Bucks matchup. The Bucks are known for packing the paint and daring opposing guards to take the three. Rather than allowing him to be more comfortable in the midrange/around the rim, he should have plenty of opportunities to continue his increased volume from beyond the arc.

Since 2018, Fox has played the Bucks 6 times, having 2+ 3PM in 4 of those games. Over his last three against the Bucks he's gone, 2-7, 2-5, and 2-5. This is a very good combination of a player coming in with good recent form, and having a good matchup for the prop. I expect Fox to continue to see volume from beyond the arc, in a game with a total of 241.
