It's rare that the Atlanta Hawks enter a game without boasting the most talented point guard in the contest, but as they face the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, that will be the case. Let's face it, Ja Morant is on a path to superstardom, and against the Hawks, 27th ranked defense. However, the Hawks can take solace in the fact that Morant will potentially be absent tonight, as he's listed as questionable on the injury report.

For Atlanta, John Collins' absence will be a big hit, especially against a Grizzlies team that boasts Jaren Jackson Jr, who could potentially run riot if Clint Capela isn't fully locked in from the opening tip. Over their last 10 games, the Grizzlies have won 7, and continue to look like an emerging threat for a future NBA championship, the Hawks have won 6 of their last 10, so also come into this game in good form. I do think this contest is quite evenly matched, especially if Morant is out, but I'm expecting the Grizzlies to take advantage of Atlanta's inability to lock teams up on defense. A +11-point spread for the Hawks seems fair and gives us plenty of room to get off to a good start on this parlay.

I don't know how many more ways I can write "the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling, badly" but it's still true. Russell Westbrook is having a rough ride with the media, fans, and fellow players, LeBron James is seeing his heroic efforts go to waste, and Anthony Davis can't stay healthy. It's the season from hell for the purple and gold, and tonight, when they face the Toronto Raptors, things will probably get worse. On paper, the Raptors are the weaker team heading into tonight's game, but in reality, the Lakers are huge underdogs, because they can't figure out how to play as a unit.

Scottie Barnes, Fred VanVleet, and Pascal Siakam are all in decent form right now, and their tenacity on both sides of the floor will give a confidence-shorn Lakers team nightmares. LeBron James and Talen Horton-Tucker are both questionable for tonight's game, although we can expect them to play. In terms of form, the Lakers have won 2 of their last 10 games, and lost to the Raptors earlier this week 114-103, for Toronto, they've won 7 of their last 10 games and aren't playing like a retooling roster. I like the Raptors for this match-up, especially after how they beat up the Lakers earlier in the week. I'm giving the Lakers a +14-point spread for this contest, which should be more than enough to see us over this hump.

Our last game is between the Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns. After an incredible start to the season, the Bulls have crashed back down to Earth in recent months, and while part of that is certainly due to injuries to key defensive pieces, the Bulls haven't looked as cohesive on the offensive end either. The Suns, on the other hand, are unquestionably one of the best teams in the NBA, if not the best team. Phoenix has the 3rd ranked offense and 2nd ranked defense in the league right now, so the Bulls are definitely going into this game with their backs up against the wall. While Chris Paul continues to be out, the potential loss of Jae Crowder for this game will be a big blow - as when the veteran 3-and-d wing was absent earlier this season, the Suns struggled for stretches. In terms of form, the Suns are 7-3 in their last 10, while the Bulls are 3-7 over the same amount of games. I'm high on Phoenix's chances here, so will be backing the Bulls on a +13-point spread for tonight's game.

Boston Celtics vs. Sacramento Kings, Single-Game Parlay

Jayson Tatum has been on a tear recently and is averaging 32.6 points per game over his last ten contests. The Sacramento Kings are ranked 28th for defensive efficiency, so we can feel confident in expecting Tatum to continue his hot streak when the Boston Celtics face the Kings later today. Boston's top-ranked defense should have no problem limiting the Kings' 22nd ranked offense. Sure, Domantas Sabonis will be a presence on the glass and will quarterback the offense from the high post, but the Celtics have been clamping better teams than the Kings recently, so it's unlikely Sacramento find too many ways to pose problems. Jaylen Brown has been struggling as a scorer over the last month or so, but if he finds a way to snap out of those scoring problems, then Boston will blitz through the second game of their West Coast swing. Boston has won 8 of their last 10 games, while the Kings are 3-7 over their last 10. I like the Celtics in tonight's game and think they should be winning this game comfortably - just like they did in January when they beat the Kings 128-75. Sacramento has improved their roster since then, so a +14-point spread should be enough to keep us hanging around in this parlay, but the money line is also a solid option here.

Two of the NBA's hottest teams will face off tonight, as we see the Philadelphia 76ers duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Both teams come into this game in good form, but the Sixers will feel some pressure to prove they're capable of beating a Western Conference team that has deep playoff aspirations. There are still plenty of questions floating around about the viability of Philadelphia's potential as a championship contender. In terms of injuries, the Sixers are sweating on the availability of Embiid, who is questionable for tonight's game, but I would guess that they will do everything to have him on the floor tonight. Other than Embiid, there are no new names on either injury report. The Sixers have won 7 of their last 10 games, while the Mavericks have an 8-2 record over the same amount of games. Honestly, this one can go either way, and I'm having a hard time picking a winner. But, I do think that if Harden and Embiid both play, the Sixers should be able to grind out a victory here, which is why I'm giving the Mavericks a +9-point spread heading into this game.
