NBA Parlay Breakdown

The Golden State Warriors might be without Stephen Curry for tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs, but that doesn't mean we should count them out. Draymond Green's return to the lineup means that the Warriors will likely see a sharp uptick in their defensive performances, and Klay Thompson will get the reps he needs to keep shaking off the rust. The Spurs are missing five first-team players heading into tonight's game, but as they're already the underdog, they should be fired up to prove themselves. Dejounte Murray has been the story for Greg Popovich's side, and he's going to test the Warriors' penetration defense early and often. San Antonio has lost 7 of their last 10 games, so they're not heading into tonight's match-up with a ton of momentum, but the Warriors aren't coming in hot either, having lost 6 of their last 10. It's clear that Golden State is the more talented roster, but they're struggling to reach the heights of earlier this season, and this game could go either way - the season series is tied 1-1 after all. I'm going to back the Warriors' to win tonight, which is why I'm riding with a +11-point spread on the Spurs.

One team that is riding momentum right now is the Phoenix Suns, as they have won 8 of their last 10 games and look to be the team to beat in the NBA right now. Tonight, the Suns will face off against a Sacramento Kings team that has clearly improved throughout the season, but not enough to be considered threats to a Suns team that is swiping everybody aside this year. The Kings have lost 7 of their last 10 games, but have looked competitive when De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis have shared the floor - their issue is on the defensive end, and the Suns will exploit those issues to the fullest extent. We know that the Suns have a few injury issues right now, most notably Chris Paul, but that hasn't seemed to of slowed them down, however, the Kings have looked far more frail in Fox's absence, and he projects to be a game-time decision again tonight. Even if the Kings do roll out their new star duo, I doubt it will be enough to derail the Suns, which is why I'm rocking with the money line for tonight's contest.

The last game in this three-team parlay sees the Utah Jazz face off against the New York Knicks. The Jazz has been a solid team all season, and despite a slight wobble in recent weeks, should be considered favorites heading into tonight's game. Utah has won 6 of its last 10 games and currently occupies the fourth seed in the Western Conference. The Knicks, on the other hand, have been disappointing all season, which has led to a lot of finger-pointing and people playing the blame game. New York has managed to go .500 over their last 10 games, and have begun to show signs of the high-level defense that saw them earn a playoff spot last season, but if we've learned anything from this iteration of the Knicks, it's that you can't rely on them to build on good performances. The Jazz will exploit any gaps the Knicks give up but will have to do so without Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic, which will hurt them on both ends of the floor. I actually think the Jazz are vulnerable tonight, due to the number of quality players they're missing, but I can't give all my trust to the Knicks. So, I'm hedging my bets by backing New York on a +14-point spread, and I would be shocked if the Knicks managed to lose by more than a 14-point margin.

Denver Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics Samee-Game Parlay

Bet $5 on Nuggets vs Celtics and win $200 if your team wins

The Boston Celtics are currently the best defensive team in the NBA and have looked vastly improved on the offensive end too, of course, some of that offensive jump has to be credited to Jayson Tatum's current MVP-level tear. Boston has won 8 of their last 10 games, and come into tonight's contest against the Denver Nuggets looking to make it 3 wins from 3 on their latest West Coast road trip. Denver will probably have different ideas though, as the Nuggets have been a tough out for most opponents all season, and having won 6 of their last 10, won't be short on confidence. Nikola Jokic has been excellent all year, and Denver has figured out how to survive despite the numerous stars on the long-term injury list. The question is, can the Nuggets limit the Celtics star wings and break down their ridiculously good defense? I'm not sold that Denver can do both of those things simultaneously, which is why I'm expecting the Celtics to continue their good run of form tonight. However, you can never count out a team that boasts the reigning MVP, so I'm going to roll with the Nuggets on a +10-point spread for this game, as I expect this one will come down to the final few possessions if neither team has a self-induced implosion.

I think it's fair to say that the Philadelphia 76ers boast the best pick-and-roll duo in the NBA with James Harden and Joel Embiid, but with the latter listed as questionable heading into tonight's game, you've got to wonder how effective Harden will be without his running mate should Embiid be sidelined tonight. The Sixers are widely considered to have one of the deepest rosters in the NBA, but Harden is still new to Doc Rivers' system, so it's fair to have questions about how well he will perform without Embiid to play off of. The Raptors have no such issues, their team has great continuity, and despite OG Anunoby being out tonight, they will feel confident about putting up a strong fight against their conference rivals. The Raptors have won 6 of their last 10, as they continue to push for a playoff spot to help expedite the development of impressive rookie Scottie Barnes, while the Sixers are 7-3 over their last 10. Frankly, it all comes down to Embiid and if he participates in tonight's game. Either way, I'm expecting a closely fought affair, so will be rolling with the Raptors on a +12-point spread, and for context, I expect this game to be close due to the current season series between these two teams being tied at 1-1 leading into tonight's game.
