This might be the chalkiest play of the day but consider me a square then. I can’t ignore how well Mobley has been playing and how horrible this matchup is for the Lakers to have to deal with. Los Angeles doesn’t have a body on that team who should be able to match Mobleys size on the court tonight. Mobley has been a great beneficiary with Jarrett Allen sidelined and that should continue tonight. Both teams have playoff aspirations so I expect this game to remain close and Mobley can see the minutes needed to bring us home.
Mobley has 17+ points in 6 of his last 8 games and has already shown an ability to torch the Lakers. In his sixth ever NBA game, he scored 23 points against them and has only gotten more comfortable since then. This game only has a 5 point spread and has a 227 point total which should bode well for Mobley's odds to score points and see plenty of floor. The Lakers have struggled against skilled bigs recently allowing Ayton, Towns, Achiuwa, and Porzingis all to smash their overs in just the last week. I think this could be a career night for Mobley and could be the nail in the coffin on the rookie of the year debate which pains me as a Pistons fan.

Late in the season LeBron usually turns it up an extra gear and I just don’t see Cleveland running away with this one. Garland will have himself a nice game most definitely as well but I really feel like the chalky Mobley play is too good to ignore. His hit rate has been great since Allen went out and this could arguably be the best matchup in the NBA. Even if the Lakers try to start Gabriel or Howard I don’t see them being able to limit the 20-year-old from dominating down low. I’m personally not doing it but if you like to live on the wild side I think he has 20+ potential and potentially 25+. I see 25+ for +425 on DraftKings. If he can score 23 against them then he can definitely add an extra bucket in the next matchup.
