NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday: Ayo Dosunmu Can Score

It was a long weekend of betting basketball but from what I've heard, everyone survived. We all made it. That's huge. We're not getting college hoops tonight but that's alright. Our brains could use the break. Those games are like little miniature heart attacks so after watching 48 hours of them, it will be nice to catch a little NBA for a change. With the NBA, at least when you lose, you usually have a feeling it's coming. I kind of like that. The only issue I see for tonight is the fact that the NBA has changed a lot in the last week. It's probably smart to ease our way back in before we get wild. The best way I know how is by trusting a member of my personal All-NBA 1st Team.

Ayo Dosunmu 10+ Points (+126) (Bet $100 to Win $126)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

I'm only playing this at FanDuel because of the plus money. I love seeing a guy get slapped with an 8.5 in the points column because that means we're getting 10+ at plus money. If a guy can get nine, why can't he get 10? If you have to play at a book that doesn't give you the 10+ option, it's cool. It's all deadly really.

I know what you're going to say so you don't even need to say it. It's a DeMar DeRozan revenge night. That's true but I already knew that. On top of that, Dosunmu is like the fourth option in this offense. This isn't a guy that's going to take a million shots. The thing is, we don't need him to shoot all night.

Dosunmu made my All-NBA 1st Team with assists but he's more than just a dish man. He can score too. He's not a 20 a night guy, but he can get us into double digits. That's crazy to think he can't. Even with a full squad, Ayo is shooting the ball. In seven of his last nine games, he's taken at least nine shots. In five of those games, he's scored in the double digits. Two of the times he didn't, he ended with nine and eight. He's right there people.

People are going to look at his last game against the Suns and say he stinks but I wouldn't say that about Ayo. First off, that's dumb. We're talking Ayo here. Second, he never does good against Phoenix. He's played them twice in his life and has never scored more than four points in either game. He's just not a Phoenix guy.

Tonight he gets the Raptors. He's played them twice this season and shot the ball at least 10 times in both games. What's important to note is the fact that both of those games featured the same starting lineup as tonight. The only difference is Alex Caruso is playing but I don't think he hurts Ayo's scoring. In fact he probably helps it along. This doesn't feel like that crazy of a bet. We definitely shouldn't be getting +126 for it.
