DeMarcus Cousins has really found his role in Denver. He isn’t the same dominant force he was a few years back but he’s an above-average backup big who will give you quality minutes on any given night. As for tonight, he finds the Clippers who allow the 5th most three-pointers to the center position. His points prop is set at 9.5 with some juice on the over. If Cousins can score 10+ points then I love his odds of one of those being from long range. Since Cousins has joined Denver he has scored double digits in 7 games. In all 7 games in which he scored 10+ he at least hit one three-pointer.
The Clippers struggle against bigs shooting the ball but even more so why I like this prop is the potential game script. Nuggets are currently favorites by 7 points and I think they could run away with this one. If that’s the case we could see a rare helpful blowout in which Cousins can cash us late in the fourth quarter. Cousins has averaged 4.5 three-point attempts in his last four games which is great potential volume for us to only need one. I know -150 is more juice than we’d typically love to take on but I just see so much value here I can’t resist.

Jokic has been an iron man for what seems like all year and with playoffs approaching I know Malone will want to have him as well rested as possible for the playoffs. Cousins could cash this in the late 1st or early 2nd and we can catch up on some sleep, but even if he hasn’t made one by halftime our bet still has legs. This is one of those bets that you won’t be able to lose faith in until it’s the late 4th quarter if the game is close. The chase of a winning bet is sometimes as exciting as cashing the ticket. I love this bet enough for it to be my only one of the whole day.
