1u - Saddiq Bey o4.5 REB (-141) (Bet $141 to Win $100)

Bey is having a great year. In his second season, he is averaging 4.2 more points per game but more importantly for our bet, he is averaging 1.2 more rebounds per game. He is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game on the season so only needing 5 seems like a steal. Washington isn’t a particularly great or poor matchup so this is strictly a numbers pick. This game projects to be close and Saddiq has seen 30+ minutes in 29 of his last 30 games. He will see the floor plenty regardless of game script but this game projects to be close with Detroit actually being favored.

Washington will be without Kuzma which will probably force Rui Hachimura into the starting lineup. I don’t view him starting as any cause to think Saddiq will be any further to the basket than he would on a typical night. Saddiq has played Washington three times this year, he has games of seven, five, and four rebounds. In the game he only had four he only played 22 minutes which I can pretty safely say won’t happen again. Saddiq has actually played 34+ minutes in his last eight games. I personally have him grabbing six.

This prop isn’t the most fun bet that will get you jumping up and down for joy but there’s most definitely value in this 4.5 number even with the juice. You would think because he averages nearly 6 rebounds and we’re getting 4.5 that he would be struggling lately this was a get-right spot but he is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game over his last 7 games so the number is a headscratcher. He is 2/3 vs Washington and the only miss he received 12 less minutes than what he’s been seeing lately and only lost by one. This prop will fly under the radar today and hopefully will be our little secret.
