1.5u - Deandre Ayton Under 18.5 PTS (-125) (Bet $187.50 to win $150)
This year Ayton has been great, so this one isn’t pretty to look at but hear me out. Player prop betting is all about matchups. Embiid has had his fair share of games where he doesn’t try on defense but he picks and chooses his battles. Whenever he faces off against Ayton he seems to bring his A-game. Embiid is currently in an MVP race and having a great defensive performance against the team with the best record would surely add to this year's resumè. I’m expecting a highly motivated Embiid on offense as well which could put Ayton in foul trouble.
Deandre Ayton has played Embiid five times in his career and has never scored 19+. Last game Phoenix scored 140 points so you would assume that Ayton had to of scored a ton but he only ended with 16 due to foul trouble dealing with Jokic, seems kinda similar, doesn’t it? The Suns are projected 117 points so asking for 19+ seems like a lot in a matchup like this. Ayton isn’t much of a three-point shooter either so I love getting this at 18.5 instead of 17.5. If Ayton doesn’t shoot any free throws like the other night he would need to make 10 field goals.

Embiid loves playing against elite centers and he should be very engaged. This could hit with Embiid playing defense, Ayton getting in foul trouble, or just flat out Devin Booker isn't trying to pass the ball with how hot he has been lately. Philly isn’t in the first leg or the second leg of a back-to-back so I’m not concerned about Embiid missing the game for rest. This game should remain close so I’m not expecting any blowout help but this is a lot to ask. As someone who absolutely never takes unders, I can’t resist here.
