This is the time of year where the smart people just sit and wait for the books to release NBA player props. Sometimes it can take all day. Imagine if you had to make lines for guys you've never heard of. Seriously, teams like the Rockets, Trail Blazers, Pacers, and Thunder are all trotting guys out that we've never heard of. On top of that, they're playing big minutes. It's paradise for us gamblers. The issue so far today is that lines for those guys have not been released yet. But while we wait, we can still get down on another guy that borders on what's happening with those other teams I mentioned. He's a familiar face and he's one that will keep popping off as long as his number stays in check.

There's quite the disagreement between DraftKings and FanDuel on this one. DraftKings has him at -130 while FanDuel is showing -102. Obviously, we want the -102 here but this shows why you need to shop around if you can. It just makes sense. It also should be noted that if you want to go 25+ on this kid, he's +180 at DraftKings and +162 at FanDuel. Just a thought.

What can I say about this kid that hasn't already been said. First off, he is going to play a ton (probably). The interim coach for the Kings already said they don't mind playing the kid 40+ minutes. Why not? He's a rookie they want to develop and they have no shot at the playoffs. Play on player.

Not only is Mitchell on the floor quite a bit, but he's also shooting the ball. Over his last four games, Mitchell has taken at least 19 shots in three of them. On top of that, he's scored at least 21 points in all four. That's crazy. His number has come up considerably from 17.5 last game but I think it's still playable.

Tonight the Kings get the Houston Rockets who are also waving the white flag. They've shut down a few guys and are looking to give their young guys a chance. If you ask me, that means we'll see some bad defense. They just gave up 33 points to Dejounte Murray from the point guard position the other night. The only reason their recent numbers against the position look any good is because they played the Portland Trail Blazers twice. I bet Mitchell gets home tonight.
