NBA Player Prop for Wednesday: Tonight CJ McCollum Gets Revenge
Last night we saw what Andre Drummond did to his former team. It was a bloodbath. The books had him at 11.5 points and he ended up dropping 14. He would have scored even more had Kevin Durant not been on fire. Luckily, Drummond noticed it and allowed Durant to keep shooting. Class act that Drummond guy.
Tonight, we've got another revenge spot but I don't know if the player is going to let anyone else steal the show. CJ McCollum is going back to Portland and if we're being honest, he might drop 100. We all hate going back to places we used to work and CJ is probably just like us. Now, all we have to do is figure out how to play this one.

CJ McCollum Over 22.5 Points (-106) (Bet $106 to Win $100)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
You can get this same bet at DraftKings if you want at -110 so don't fret. If you want to get a little wild, CJ 25+ and the Pelicans to win is +152 at FanDuel which is also an option. It's all deadly really. Still, I'll just take the low-hanging fruit here and move along. We're gamblers, not heroes.
The only thing I don't like about this game is the fact that the Trail Blazers aren't an NBA team at the moment. I'm not exaggerating either. Without looking it up, name one starter from the Trail Blazers. They remind me of the Cleveland Indians in the movie Major League. Who the hell are these guys? Unlike the movie, these guys aren't winning.
Anytime you have a team like Portland, there is a blowout risk. Blowouts are the worst thing that can happen to player props. They ruin everything. The good news is, I think if the Pelicans are up 30 going into the fourth quarter, it will be because McCollum already dropped a 30-burger. Portland can't guard anyone, especially guards.
We just saw Portland give up 23 points to Theo Maledon. In the two games before that, Jalen Green went for 25 and 23. The game before that, Dejounte Murray 28-pieced them. In Murray's instance, he only played 30 minutes because the Spurs won by 37 points. I know we're playing with fire here but that's kind of the way it should be. On top of that, I think McCollum can do these guys for 40 and I want to be a part of it. There's no shame in that.
