This feels wrong but we’ve gotta put belief in what Orlando showed us last game. This team wants the top odds in the lottery and it’s clear. Despite remaining competitive in the fourth quarter vs Cleveland last game we saw Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter, etc all remain benched in an effort to blow their lead. Orlando currently holds the worst record in the NBA and controls their own destiny to have the best possible draft fortune. Orlando plays Washington who also has nothing to play for but that shouldn't stop them from out-tanking one another. This is a sad angle for a bet but it’s one we can’t ignore.

Cole Anthony has played against Washington three times this year and has scored 16+ twice in three attempts but if you give it some context it’s not that bad. In two of the three games, we didn’t see Wendell Carter play so Cole was asked to score more. In the game Cole did play with Wendell he scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. If history repeats itself then he shouldn’t be playing in that quarter tonight. Cole has shot 28% vs Washington this season but has been seeing insane volume. Should be hard to see that same volume if you only play three quarters.

Even if for whatever reason we see the Magic do a 180 and act like they’re trying to compete there’s no lock that he scores 16+. Anthony is averaging 16.8 on the season which isn’t far off this number and is under in five of his last six games. Wagner is really becoming a more comfortable shooter and Carter Jr keeps progressing as well. Anyone on the Magic on any given night will look like the top-scoring option so it’s always good to take their unders with how random their offense can be run. Tonight's total is only 219 and if Magic are only implied to score between 108-109 points. If he sits in the fourth quarter again then he will only be out there for 80-85 of them. Going to be tough to ask for him to score 16 of those. Although I hate tanking and how it burnt us the other day I would like to think tonight is our night.
