Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Prediction

I don't root for the Warriors and never have, so it's hard for me to answer the question regarding whether I'd be worried about Golden State's recent free fall.

On one hand, Steph Curry hasn't played in weeks, and by all indications, will be fine for the playoffs. If he's healthy and on the court, the Warriors become a team that can't be counted out.

On the other hand, Golden State's struggles started well before Steph went out, and the fact that they've completely fallen apart in his absence has to be troubling, especially in comparison to the Suns and Grizzlies, who have consistently been able to withstand the losses of key players and continue winning regardless.

The specifics are nasty. Curry went down 14 minutes into a game against the Celtics two weeks ago, and Golden State wound up losing by 22. Since then, they are 1-5 with the sixth-worst net rating in the NBA. That record includes losses to the Magic and Wizards - two games that featured Draymond Green and Klay Thompson on the court.

In short, the Warriors are in a bad place, and they're facing the wrong team to try and get well against. Phoenix's march to one of the greatest regular-season win totals in NBA history continues to roll along, as they're now up to eight straight wins. Tonight's matchup will give them the chance to tie the all-time franchise record for most wins in a season, and it is on national television. In other words, they will be amped up, especially now with Chris Paul back and in uniform.

This line can't be high enough. The fact that it's manageable makes the decision all that much easier. Give the points on the road.

New York Knicks vs Charlotte Hornets Line Movement

New York Knicks vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction

New York's too little, too late run at the end of the season continues. Their latest victim: the Chicago Bulls, who were fighting hard for playoff positioning.

It was the third time in four games the Knicks beat a team that was playing for something, with the other win coming against the Pistons, who have been playing hard and pretty well. The four-game winning streak is New York's season-high, and over their last 13 games, they have the fifth-best net rating in the NBA.

Not that the Hornets should be taken lightly. Yes, New York won by 15 in Charlotte last week, but the Hornets have been playing well, and have the 7th best net rating in the league since the break. This game also matters to them a lot. They're a game back of the Nets, and if they pass Brooklyn, they can get into the 7/8 game as opposed to having to win twice to get into the playoff field.

This one should be tight and screams to take the team getting points, which is New York. On Monday against the Bulls, Julius Randle played perhaps his worst game of the season and the Knicks still won. If he gives them anything at all tonight, it'll make their job even more manageable. Take the points at home.
