Cleveland without Jarrett Allen have struggled as a defense and have allowed the fourth-most assists to point guards since his injury. Players like Kyle Lowry, Cade Cunningham, and Russell Westbrook all average significantly fewer assists per game than Trae but have all hit double-digit assists vs Cleveland since Allen's injury.

The Hawks are nearly a lock to be in the play-in tournament but you know they would love to climb the seeds and only have to win one game as opposed to two. Atlanta may have played yesterday but they massacred Oklahoma City so Trae only had to play 29 minutes. I’m expecting a big-time assist night after he just scored 41 last night. We don’t normally see Trae have back-to-back really high-scoring games so we’re trusting the trends here as well as the matchup.

This game projects to remain close and Trae has hit in 12 of his last 18 games. Trae Young averaged 19.1 assist opportunities per game in March which is two potential assists higher than his season average. He’s going to be dishing, just a matter of does it get the help that we need. Cleveland is really hurting without Allen and I think Trae can get us there. It’s not common to have a matchup between two teams that matter this much late in the regular season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see all of the bigger names in this game get some extended run as it’s a very crucial game for both clubs. This feels an assist short. I wouldn't play at 10.5 but I would still play double as a leg and pair it with a heavy favorite as another leg to bring down the juice.
