Kevin Porter Jr has been a major beneficiary of Houston resting their veterans for the remainder of the season. Houston has one of the worst records in the league and they want to keep it that way for the most possible ping pong balls for the lottery. With that being said, they play Sacramento who are less than good at basketball. Although I predict this game remains close we don’t care. This is all about what our boy does in the 1st quarter and this is such a great value.

So why am I specifically betting the 1st quarter if I think the game stays close? Simply put, KPJ has just been starting games off so well. Porter Jr in his last four games has averaged 9.0 points and 3.0 assists in the first quarter in 10.7 minutes on average. Each game he has accomplished this feat of 5/1 and has also done this vs this same Sacramento team. KPJ had an 11/4 1Q against Sacramento last game and all we need is six fewer points and three fewer assists. He has played Sacramento three times and has 5/1 first quarters in all three games. This feels like such an insane value and although it’s a 1u much like the rest of my plays it’s probably my favorite play I came the closest to making a 1.5u.

Houston will be without Christian Wood, Dennis Schroeder and Eric Gordon throughout the remainder of the season. Both Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr are reaping the benefits of increased usage in both passing and shooting. Sacramento is the perfect team to target in their new roles. I feel so good about this one. Kevin Porter Jr has been shooting the three-ball well recently so I’m thinking all we need is two field goals and an assist but he’s surely capable of making three two-pointers. We have a great track record with the exclusive 1st quarter bets and I plan to end the season keeping it that way.
