I really don’t see the Heat dropping game 1. Miami is the #1 seed for a reason and is definitely the healthier team. Clint Capela will be out for Atlanta which will make life easier on Bam Adebayo and although John Collins will “give it a go” I don’t expect him to be at 100%. Miami has had its struggles late in the season but now that the playoffs are here I expect them to come together and play winning basketball. This team has too many veterans with playoff experience to be childish and not put winning first. Miami won 3 of 4 games against Atlanta this year but more importantly are 2-0 at home. Tonight that should make it 3-0 on the year.

Heat ML / Trae Young Under 11.5 AST (-130) (Bet $130 to win $100)

Of all of the legs, you may question this Trae Young under 11.5 assists. I get that he’s capable of major assist games but this matchup is tough. Miami allowed the 10th fewest assists and Trae Young particularly struggled. Young played Miami four times this season and could only eclipse games of 8,7,9, and 5 assists. Trae Young is a phenomenal passer but he’s also an outstanding scorer and he may feel the need to force shots in this one if Atlanta trails as we expect. There’s definitely a chance that Miami blitzes him but there’s no guarantee that Atlanta will hit their jump shots and Miami switches as good as any team in basketball.
All projections have Trae between 8-9 assists and I just don’t see Miami dropping this one. The best part about betting on the playoffs as opposed to the regulars season is not having to wonder if the players are giving it their all. Usually, the better team wins because they all are going 100%, it makes gambling a lot easier on moneyline props as opposed to the regular season. If you don’t like the Trae Young under in assists I also like Lowry's points as he states that he will shoot more in the playoffs. I think Heat ML is the lock though and Young is my personal favorite pairing. Let's kick off Easter with a nice win.
