The Mavs had to take some news coming into the series when it was reported that star Luka Doncic was injured. Doncic suffered an injury in the Mavs finals regular-season game and missed game one. Doncic will be out for this game again tonight, to the dismay of Mavericks fans. This means the Mavericks will need other guys to step up and pick up their play. One of those guys will have to be Jalen Brunson. Brunson, a former standout at Villanova, has really improved his play this season, giving the Mavericks great minutes all season long.

Spencer Dinwiddie, who was acquired from Washington at the trade deadline, will also need to do some heavy lifting tonight if the Mavericks want to pull off this upset. The Jazz, on the other side of things, know how key this win would be tonight to take a 2-0 series lead on the road. Star guard Donovan Mitchell was great in game one for the Jazz leading them with thirty-two points. The line for tonight is -5.5 in favor of the visiting Jazz.

I see this as another slow-paced rock fight that should favor the home dog in this position.
