Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics Prediction: Can Kevin Durant and the Nets Bounce Back in Game 3?

We are fresh off a 5-0 NBA sweep and sporting a record of 16-2 on article plays and videos so far in the playoffs. That’s not bad but going 17-2 would be better, and that’s what we are going to do with this first pick.

Nets vs. Celtics Game 3 Line Movement

Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics Game 3 Prediction

The Boston Celtics will travel to Brooklyn for a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. The first two games of this series were controlled by the Nets but won by the Celtics. You could make a case that the Celtics should be the team digging out of the 2-0 hole right now. The Nets led both games late but could not find a way to close out.

The play of star Kevin Durant has been headlined negatively in this series's first couple of games. Durant, who is arguably the best pure scorer to ever play the game of basketball, has struggled to find his stroke against this Celtics team through two games. Kyrie Irving played a great game one, but it was not enough to beat his former team.

The Celtics have had a well-balanced attack the first couple of games, but the two stars come in the form of former lottery picks Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum is one of the best young scorers in the game and is a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. The Celtics closed the season as the hottest team in the NBA, earning themselves the number two seed. This is not the typical two versus seven series, but the Celtics have handled business to this point. This is a must-win for the Nets tonight at home, a place they have struggled all season long to win basketball games.

I am backing the home team tonight on the moneyline.

The Celtics versus the Nets is a series that a lot of people thought would go seven, and I still think it will. The Nets beat themselves in the first couple of games and could easily be up 2-0 here. The play of Kevin Durant has not been up to par, and they have still been playing these games tight, which is an encouraging sign. I believe the line here is a steal if you think about it; this is the best time of the year to bet on the Nets. They can not afford to lose this game. They are the home team, and they have two of the best players in the world. The Celtics can afford to drop this one, so I expect more intensity from the Nets behind their home crowd. This line is too short in my opinion, tonight so let’s jump on it and stay red hot!
