In the first two games, the Nets controlled for the majority of the game, but the Celtics came back late and stole the games. Game three was dominated by the Celtics from start to finish continuing the Net's struggles at home. The Nets getting swept would be a pretty shocking event, but now it looks like a reality.
The Celtics came into the year slated to be a playoff team, but not a lot of people had them as title contenders. The star duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum has been as good as any one-two combo in the NBA. The role players for the Celtics have been fantastic this season, including defensive player of the year Marcus Smart. Al Horford has been solid for this Celtics team, and Robert Williams took a huge leap this season. This is a team playing with supreme confidence at the moment. The Nets will look to avoid the deep at home tonight as slight favorites.
I am putting my faith in this Nets team at home. As a Philly fan, I don’t have much love for this Nets team, but I am realistic. This Nets team could be the one team to come back from a 3-0 deficit. I believe they dominate this game at home tonight and get it back to 3-1. If the Nets can win this game and go steal one in Boston, it becomes a two-game series. There is so much talent spread thru this Nets roster that I have faith they will step up and make things happen tonight. Kevin Durant, in particular, has been held down thru the first three games, but tonight I believe he will shoot with a ton of volume and dominate the game.
The Celtics will not play this game with as much energy as the Nets tonight. We have already seen how hard it is to sweep a team in the playoffs, especially on their home floor. I think the Nets live to see another day, and we stay hot on the hardwood tonight!
