Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls Prediction
In game five of this seven-game series, the Chicago Bulls will take on a divisional opponent in the Milluwake Bucks. The Bucks will look to put the closing touches on this first-round series and get back to the second round.
The first two games in Milwaukee were split as the Bulls pulled off the big upset in game two when they beat the Bucks. The momentum of the series shifted that day when it was announced Khris Middleton would miss the rest of the series. The Bucks, however, came back strong, winning both games in Chicago, and now are a heavy twelve-point favorite tonight.
The Bulls heard some bad news last night when it was announced star guard Zach LaVine would enter health and safety protocols making him absent for this game tonight. The Bulls also listed guard Alex Caruso out with a concussion. The bad news puts the Bulls in a tough spot as a team that was already struggling. Now they are down two guys who give them significant minutes, one being an all-star in LaVine. The Bucks know this is a golden opportunity to close out the series tonight at home and avoid going back to the Windy City.
The leader all season for the Bucks has been two-time MVP Giannis Antekumpo. Giannis has been outstanding all season long after leading his team to an NBA title a year ago. This is a veteran Bucks team who is not scared of the big moment. Veterans Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis have played their roles perfectly this season, along with many others on this Bucks roster.
I am turning to a player prop, and I’m assuming an unpopular one at that in Giannis Antekumpo under in points. I know when people look at this play, it may strike some anxiety, but I believe the number is a tick too high with the game script I anticipate. Giannis is averaging under this number in the playoffs as he is currently putting up 27.5 points in a shade over thirty-four minutes per contest.
I see this game as a blowout tonight, so we may get the benefit of that when Giannis doesn’t play a ton of fourth-quarter minutes. The Bulls have made it clear they will throw him, double teams, all series, and make other guys step up and beat them. Giannis is yet to go over this number despite no Middleton in the lineup. I believe we see a similar game script tonight and cash this prop in.
Bucks vs. Bulls Game 5 Pick
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 32.5 Points (+100) (Bet $100 to win $100)
